REMOTE INTERNATIONAL USABILITY TESTING
The "remote-conducted" usability research consists in completing scenario tasks by the users from afar. The research procedure is similar to typical tests with users gathered in the laboratory. Thanks to analysis we are able to identify positions where key errors are made and provide statistics concerning time and number of errors made during the accomplishment of a task.
Why is it worth using Remote International Usability Testing?
The method allows for organizing research on bigger groups of users on different geographical areas at the same time.
How does UseLab do that?
The method is an alternative to local testing with users gathered in the laboratory. It is suitable in situations when it is vital to research users living in distant parts of the country or continent/world at the same time.
How does UseLab do that?
Using the technology destined for remote testing, we conduct simultaneously several observations collating the results for the entire group.
The session lasts for about 30-40 minutes and allows for completing several scenario tasks. The analysis of the results includes quantitative information on the frequency and the character of the made errors. During the research session we conduct full audio and video recording, which enables the delivery of such recording to the customer.
We recommend that method while conducting quantitative researches together with wide geographical range of the project. The recommended number of people is minimum 30.
On what platforms is the method used?
We administer specialist software which enables research conducting on various platforms:
- WWW - transactional, product, information portals
- Mobile
- Lo-fi, Hi-fi prototypes
